Nacho Popped Our Hopes

Okay so on Thursday me, Henry, Janette and Steven went to see Nacho Pop at Westfields after school. We set up HQ on level 3, stage left (?) where we found Mathew from yr9. There were people sitting and lining up down at the stage to see Nacho Pop. Yeah. All FIVE of them! LOL, there were hardly any people there! I felt sorry for him. And there was this MC guy who had to get more people to gather. So he made a circle dance thing where people get into the middle and showed us their moves.

No one went in.

In fact, only little kids were in there jumping and stuff. It was pretty cute but lacking the cool factor. Then this one guy in a green shirt went in (not being racist, but he was Afro-American so you KNEW he could dance) and started popping. He got kinda boring pretty soon, cause there was just something about him that made you want to punch him in the face. Probably the fact that he thought he was soooooo good. Literally, he thought that.

So anyway, a couple other people came up ... like three but the MC guy had done his job. Now there were more people there and Nacho Pop could come out with his dignity intact. When he came out though, I don't think anyone noticed - even I didn't. We were like "Where is he?"
Then Henry said, "I think he's the guy in the blue shirt near the stage."
"Oh. Yeah that's him." LOL. And guess what he was doing? STRETCHING! He even bent forward and flashed some people hahaha.

The show started off with a dance routine from a guy, a girl and nacho pop. Pretty ordinary stuff. And then the MC interviewed Nacho about things like the tour and sytycd etc. But you could never hear what the dude was saying man. It was like everything he said was mumbles! So you didn't even know what was happening.

When he got to the teaching the dance moves bit, the crowd didn't get what he was doing. They were SUPPOSED to join in and try to learn but only about 4 people did. Nacho Pop was looking pretty ridiculous. Haha! And then he chose people to come up on stage and do the dance, add in a bit of their own moves and etc. There was this weird, chubby schoolgirl; a cute little girl; that green shirt "punch my face" guy and this fob dude.

First to dance was the schoolgirl. She was alright, I guess. But whenever she twirled her skirt flew up and it was very distubring! Then it was the little girl. She started off with a BANG! And then only got better from then. She was full pro man! Awesome. She got first prize and a brand new iPod.
Then it was green shirt's turn. He did his thing and that boring dance he does .. for a pretty long time. It was annoying!! And then the fob guy came up. He wasn't really a dancer so he just sorta moved his feet and stuff. He was a likeable guy though and everybody cheered for him. He came second place because he was cool and no one wanted the green short guy to get even more up himself.

That wrapped up the performing and show bit. Now it was time for the autographs. At first we were thinking whether or not we should get them. But in the end we decided we should. Keep it as a memento or something. So we all walked down and got into the line. Dylan was filming the whole thing so we pretty much commentated every single thing we were doing. "We're in the line ... this girl is giving us things to sign..." It was pretty exciting and we were all hyped up. We were planning stuff like what we were gonna do when we got up there, whether we should take pictures etc. So imagine our disappointment when the security guy was like, "No more autographs."
You can just imagine it now. Big, burly security guard telling us this in a deep non-threatening but still threatening voice, closing the rope line in front of us. It was a major disappointment and we were crushed - especially Dylan once he realised how close we got to something extraordinary.

And yeah .. that's all for now. If you ever see Nacho Pop on the street don't look at him, don't even wave or smile and if you HAVE to look, give him a death stare. It'll do the world good. LOL.
