First off, I'd like to thank Leah (sp?) from industry kids and the anonymous stranger that did the good deed. It's people like them that restore my faith in the human race. Maybe we aren't all heartless after all?
So I'm guessing you want to know what happened right? Well, today I went out to buy all my school supplies. This meant that I ended up carrying a couple bags in one hand + my phone and a bottle of water (for lunch) in the other.
Sometime after lunch (if you can't be safe during lunch then the world is doomed!) I realized that my phone was GONE! It was nowhere to be seen. I checked the bags, the table, the pockets but no ... :(
I went back to every shop that I'd visited from a time where I still had my phone but still no luck. Maybe I should have payed more attention to Beyonce's cautionary tale - "I should have left my phone at home cause this is a disaster." (Telephone,Lady GaGa)
Yes Beyonce, it WAS a disaster. So, defeated and with little hope left, I put my last dollar into a pay phone (those things don't give change you know!) and started diallling my number. It rang once, twice, three times, four and which each ring a feeling of dread spread over me. Then...it was a Christmas miracle! Someone picked up and said, "Hello?"
"WHO'S THIS!?" I said, with probably too much force and capitalization. It was exciting so yeah....Lawl. Anywayz you can probably guess what hapens next... :D
It turns out that someone found my phone and saw the wallpaper of me and my bro as kids. They thought that hey maybe it belonged to a kid or mother (gotcha - why else do you think I use that wallpaper? Sentimental value? Pffft no! Security of course) so they gave it into Industry Kids asking if anyone had lost said phone.
Leah, the girl working there then went "Oh yeahh I know the owner of the phone. I'll just keep it until they come back but thanks for bringing it in!" SNEEAAAKKY! I like the way she handled it hahaha. So anyways, I ended up getting my phone back and all was right in the world once again (:
