"I AM Tekken!"

The other day I got an email from the Supanova people (I know right? Long time no talk!) inviting me to a special screening of Tekken at Event George St. And when I got the email I was like "OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG TEKKEN FOR FREE HELL TO THE YEAH CAN I GET AN AMEN!?" Of course I was going to go. I'd never pass on a freebie (:

It said we could bring a guest. So I brought my mum (she realllyyy likes one of the actors in the movie lol) and together we went off to the city to watch.

It was pretty easy to spot the Supanova personnel at Event. I mean, she was wearing a giant Domo-kun hoodie. So I walked up to her and was like "Hi..." Then awkwardness ensued. But it was all cool. After a few mumbled greetings she was like "You can head on up to the cinema now if you'd like." and I was thinking YES I WOULD LIKE THAT. MORE THAN ANYTHING RIGHT NOW. YOU DON'T EVEN UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH I WOULD LIKE TO GO NOW. LOL nahh I keed. I'm not that mean heh.

So I was like cool and I went up to the place where they would usually take your ticket and this cute usher (hehehe) was there and he's like "Here for Tekken?" and I nodded cause, what else was I supposed to do? LOL. So he goes "cinema 6. Just go up the escalator and it's left, right, left" So many directions for just one cinema right? :L

The movie is running late and the usher comes back (yay!) reassure the audience. "The movie will be on in 2 minutes so if you need to buy popcorn&snacks or go to the toilet you should go now."

"THANKS DAD!" someone yells while he walks away. Laughter. Ooooohhh bitch thinks he's funny :L
The usher just shrugs it off though cause he's cool like that and leaves.

Then the lights go off. It's starting! Oh, but what's this? On the screen there's like one of those menus from a DVD Player ahahahahahahah. A bit shifty....but pretty funny. There was this one guy that even had one of those typical weirdo nerd laughs. Hi-larious. And I think at one point someone did a Chewie (the wookie!)

All good though. Movie plays. And it's alright for a video game adaption. Fight scenes were cool.

There was this one bit though that was so freaking funny though - partly because of what happened and partly because of the audience's reaction. So we all know that that in Tekken Heihachi, Kazuya and Jin are related yes? Well, now you do. But you aren't supposed to know that for like half the movie. When it was revealed...it was classic.

Heihachi: There was always a sadistic part of him (cause Kazuya is a sociopath) I couldn't control
Jin: Who?
Heihachi: Kazuya. My son.....your father.

Dun dun DUN!!!! At this point people are yelling out "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" and "THIS ISN'T POSSIBLE!!!" and gaspin in shock hahahahah all in good fun though. It was all very corny how thy revealed it so I guess we had to react in an equally corny way? LOL Good times.

So all in all...good day (Y) good movie (:
