Blogs of Note

Today I did what EVERYONE does (but would hate to admit it). I googled myself. Yes, I did. I defiantly typed 'Allison Edejer' into Google and clicked that 'Google Search' button with a steady hand and eyes unblinking as I stared straight into the screen's lifeless eyes.

The results that showed up brought back a lot of memories but one particular link brought back the most. My School Blog.

In year 10, we were introduced to this new class called e-literacy. All the work was done on laptops and at the end of each lesson we published what we had done on a blog (or wiki) for out teacher to mark. I don't know if my teacher ever really got to see my blog in the end. But that thing .... it was in a class of its own.

Most people would put NO EFFORT whatsoever into their blogs. They'd attach their work and leave. They didn't see the need to add descriptions full of wry humour and inside information. They shuddered at the thought of putting their personality out there, side-by-side with their schoolwork. That, however, was exactly what I did. And that's why reading the blog was really cool - I remembered what kind of person I was and what wacky things I was into at the time. Have something like that from your past? Sit down and read it too!
