Is it because Blogger is dying? No time? Nothing to post about? 'Cause everyone is more interested in Blogger's younger, hotter cousin Tumblr? It could be all of the above.
See, even I've considered jumping on the Tumblr train. It is admittedly easier to use and better looking. I doubt it'd take me 5+ years to get my layout sorted on Tumblr ... Plus, practically EVEYRONE uses it so I'm pretty much guaranteed more readers (no offense to my reader(s) ==") BUT MAYBE, just maybe that's the reason why I stay away. A lot of people just post up a bunch of photos of other people and other things. They don't write and hence we get no insight into their lives. Is that what blogging has become?
If I make a Tumblr and people start reading what I write, I'd want it to be something LIFE-CHANGING . I'd literally want people to say after they see or read something, "My life just changed forever."
If they see someone looking glum and depressed on the street or at the shops or at a corporal function for a new business venture, I'd want my readers to go up to that person and show them my Tumblr and go - "Take a look at this. It will change. your. life." Suddenly the person becomes happy - the sort of happy that only comes along after a life-changing experience.
I suppose what I want to write or show people is a window to my soul. Actually, no, not that far. TAKE A STEP BACK. I'd just want a really cool, deep and meaningful blog. And I can't start a new one if that ain't gonna happen right away. Who knows though, right? It could happen at anytime. It might not be as deep and meaningful as expected at first but if you ever see me make not just a Tumblr but any new blog, humour me and say, "This just changed my life."
(:
