Obligatory Holiday Post ... yay !

Here's a post. It might've been a while since you have seen one of these - especially around this blog. But they DO pop up from time to time and during the holidays, you can be sure to see at LEAST one. This is the one. *ominous music*

The holidays ... although I was still met with a heap load of homework to do in the holidays, the first week was great. Everything went in my preferred pace – slow :) This was partly due to me being lazy and to the lack of things we all had planned to do in the holidays ==”
The first week was full of relaxation and fun. Well, that was how it went for the first 3 days. On the fourth, I went to watch the new Harry Potter movie at Reading Cinemas then tutored Janette in math. It went something like this:

Me: and that’s how you do it. Get it?
Janette: Ohhhhh. Yep
Me: Ok, lets do this question then. [we do most of the question] and all you have to do now is work out these two sides. So first this one [it says -4 + -6]
Janette: *hesitates* -2? [looks to me, face blank] -2 .. + .. - ... ?
Me: -10 *laughs*

But yeah, I have no doubt that Janette will be able to get those exercises done either way. Though, I might have to rethink my future career as a tutor. While I was explaining one question to Janette, I got pretty confused.

Me: Well, first you have to get rid of the denominators.
[then, after explaining how to do that and confusing Janette along the way …]
Wait! No, wait that’s not right. I did it wrong. Forget everything I just told you, now!. Did you forget it all?
Janette: yep :)

I then proceeded to stuff up that question another time, erased her memories AGAIN and then finally solve the question.

I spent the entire next day writing a story for English homework. And by entire day I mean, about 5-6 hours. Of course, somewhere in between those hours I probably went on twitter, youtube (Harry Potter Puppet Pals - this links to youtube because I cbb getting the link myself :[ ) and played ‘accidentally in love’ on my ukulele – song of the week, it was. So in the end I got about 1 and ¾ of a page written down.

Then, on Saturday I went to work. It started off alright. My first customer was this Greek guy (I think he was Greek) who ordered tuna. And while I was making his order, the guy and I chatted about the compatibility of dairy and fish. Quite a thought provoking conversation haha. But then the rest of the day sucked. Dropped food. Worked with boss. See what I have to deal with? That night, I started work on the kite runner homework for .. which subject? Oh yes, that’s right, ENGLISH. I took up about three pages but dude, I did not get much done. They were mostly notes that I still have to create sentences with. That. Is. So. Hard.

Sunday I had no work so I used that time to finish the story I started on Friday. Yay! More yays to come – while I was writing I downloaded HEAPS of Daughtry songs. Whooo!!

And yeah .. that’s pretty much al I’ve done, not much if you look at it, but it was cool. I’m expecting the second week to be more panicky as I realise that I haven’t really gotten much of my homework done. Geez, this whole blog post is longer than what I‘ve written so far for my second English story. Why can’t I write this fast for school related stuff? *sighs* oh well, now, back to work!
